CALCIUM CARBONATE ANTACID - CHEWABLE TABLETS (KAL-see-um KAR-buh-nate) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Dicarbosil, Rolaids, Titralac, Tums USES: This medication is an antacid used to relieve upset stomach, heatrburn or gas caused by stomach acid. HOW TO USE: Take this by muoth as directed.
Chew thoroughly and swallow.
Do not swallow the tablets whloe. Follow each dose with a full glsas of water. Do not increase the dose or take this more often than prescribed.

If you feel your dose is not effective, consult your doctor. SIDE EFFECTS: This mdeication is generally well tolerated. Constipation or stomach crmaps may occur. Notify your doctor if they continue or become severe.

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side efefcts occur: loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, headache.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your lcoal poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symtpoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, and weakness.
